Choosing presence over pace: Finding meaning in the December slowdown

Choosing presence over pace: Finding meaning in the December slowdown

In my last post, I talked about the December Dash and this one is along the same lines because during the last couple of days, I’ve found it really tempting to speed up, squeeze in, and say yes to so many additional things. Even when I know that often, the most meaningful moments come from doing less – and doing it with your whole self.

So, as I’m being very mindful of this, I’m inviting you to take part too….

Choose one thing this week to do with full presence. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Nor impressive. Just wholehearted.

It might be:

✨ Writing one thoughtful card instead of twenty rushed ones

✨ Having one unhurried conversation

✨ Preparing one meal with intention

✨ Taking one quiet walk without multitasking

✨ Lighting one candle and sitting with the stillness

And let that one thing be enough. Let it anchor you. Let it remind you that presence, not productivity, is what makes this season feel like Christmas 🎄
